  Chinese Barbecue Spare Ribs

 

Ingredients:

2 pounds pork spare ribs

Marinade:

3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 table spoons liquid honey
2 tablespoons brown bean sauce
2 tablespoons hoisin or oyster sauce
1/4 cup sherry
2 garlic cloves, minced

 

Preparation:

1. Trim off any excess fat from the edges, and place the ribs in a shallow pan.
2. Mix the marinade ingredients together well, apart from the oil. Refrigerate the pork in marinade for at least 2 hours.
3. Pre-heat oven to 375F. Remove ribs from the marinade, but reserve the mixture.
4. Place ribs on a lightly oiled baking tray/pan, and roast for 25 - 35 minutes.
5. Brush with the reserved marinade, then turn and brush the other side.
