  Beef Fried rice


Beef fried rice

Ingredients:

2 cups cooked, cold rice
2 tablespoons groundnut oil
1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 spring onion finely chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 cup mushrooms
1 teaspoon ginger, minced
1 onion finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce

 

Preparation:

1. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, sugar, salt, oyster sauce and set aside.
2. Heat the wok to medium heat, add the oil, and fry the beef with the onion and mushrooms for about 3 minutes. Remember to keep the mixture moving.
3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the wok and fry for about 1 minute.
4. Remove contents, and discard excess fat from the wok.
5. Heat the wok to high and re-add the ingredients along with some more oil if needed.
